hello friend

When I'm shooting a wedding, I shoot to lay out a series of photos detailing what happened that day. I want to capture those authentic moments, so you can relive your day and feel all the same feels you felt on your actual wedding day! I'm looking for all the yummy details: that golden sunlight shooting through your lace, the groom's face the first time he sees his soon-to-be wife, the tears in mom's eyes as she watches her son's first dance, truly this list is endless. I'm always looking around to see who is getting caught up in the moment and why... and then capture that in my camera. I want to show how much you love each other and also how much you're loved by everyone around you.

my story

MY Story

Hi there! My name is Dani Brown and I'm the photographer behind Five Maples Photography & Films. I started this business as Coco Captures in 2013 on a whim. I'll always have a deep fondness of my time as Coco Captures, however, I desire a fresh start. A place where I can reclaim my business and allow myself to be an artist, shooting those deep moody tones that I've been drawn to for years. It's a scary leap of faith. Will you love it? I don't know, but I hope so! My style will be different and my business will be different, thus a rebrand to Five Maples. Why did I choose Five Maples for a business name? I chose Five Maples because it represents my beautiful family of five. The ones I love most dearly. It also represents my love for those warm, moody tones of autumn. I love the changing seasons from summer to fall to winter. How the leaves turn from green to fiery colors of oranges, reds and yellows. Then drop, only to come back again in the spring. And from these things, grew my inspiration for Five Maples Photography!
